Unsuccessful drug trials are less likely to be published in peer reviewed journals

According to a study published in the BMJ in March: “Much of the information collected in unsuccessful drug trials is inaccessible to the broader research and practice communities”. The BMJ study found that the rate of non-publication of stalled drug trials was significantly higher for studies that did not complete enrollment compared with licensed drug trials.
